The Choice of Political Party
| Aug 22, 2008 @ 10:48 PMThe world sees us, Hispanics, as admirable people, not only because of our interesting cultural heritage, but also because we have this very strong and fervent belief in God. We Hispanics value family more than anything, and we are warriors against the destruction of the unborn. This being said, I am trying to understand why Hispanics were usually found to prefer the Democratic Party during election. Even with the deep sense of family values and love for God, we almost always choose leaders from a party that is known to be anti family, anti-religion, and for abortion.
According to my personal observation and analysis, many Hispanics were merely made to think the wrong thing. For instance, entitlement programs and other classes, which everyone thinks is a great way to sharpen your mind, are offered for free.
Authentic success is brought about by the ability to compete in the U.S. market place. Since English is the official language, Hispanics should know how to read and understand the need to communicate in English. Therefore, if I speak English quite well, then I have greater chances of succeeding.
I can sense that our deep cultural roots are slowly fading. We may still worship the same god. We may still value the same traditions. But we definitely are evolving in terms of our choice of leaders. And pretty soon, everything else will change. So when you vote, think about how you might be letting go of your very own culture. I rest my case.

Since when is the Democratic party known to be anti-family, anti-religion.? perhaps you come to this conclusion because the party is pro-abortion. Banning abortion would mean taking our freedom which is unconstitutional! Dont get me wrong, I am also against the destruction of an innocent but if this nation becomes anti- abortion it will only create more issues, are we also going to tell our youth not to fornicate? Abortion is a moral issue that can become of the past if we start morally educating the youth. Having your own family is a beautiful life changing experience but only when you are ready, the experience is not the same when you become a teen mom. There is a time and a place for everything and decisions like that should be taken as an adult.
In my own personal belief the democratic party supports the constitution and minorities as apposed to republicans who represent the rich white man of this country. “Lets not make a mistake and not vote for a good candidate only because he is pro-abortion”. We will never be able to have the perfect president but at least we can have a leader who will help the Hispanic community (minorities).

I’m not sure if your opinion of how the world views us is accurate, as a matter of fact, when you consider the violence and corruption which is a way of life in Mexico and most Latin American countries, the image is not good. Where is the strong family values that latinos boast about? We have men that abuse women. Latina teens leading the way in un-wed pregnancies, probably the major source of latino gangbangers, aborted education goals and low-income lives. The best way to help the Hispanic community, in my opinion, is by example. For each individual to strive to be the best American they can possibly be, by considering education the best vehicle to a better life. By respecting our laws. You should do these things for yourself and your family; others will see your success and follow your ecample. Be an individual, don’t let any political party take your vote for granted; at the polling booth, vote for the candidate that is best for America.
